Students would be able to identify the difference between various types of numbers and develop skills of performing various operations on rational numbers, thereby inculcating competencies like collaboration, critical thinking and creativity

Teaching Strategy:
Student will be asking oral questions based on their previous knowledge about number systems. Discuss properties and explain how to apply operations on rational numbers and instruct them to perform the activity on addition of rational numbers
Learning outcomes:
Students will develop to understand. Natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, rational numbers the method of plotting rational numbers on the number line. The different rational numbers lying between the given two rationales.
